At DrupalCon NARA , we have begun preparations to establish the Local Drupal Association Japan, with the support of 10 organizations, including Nara City, and with Masami Suzuki (currently a Drupal Asia committee member) as interim chair, as an effort to become the official local organization for the Japanese Drupal community.
The initial secretariat will be headed by Masami Suzuki, Kensuke Naoe, Kunihiro Imura, and Takayuki Hagihara, who will prepare draft materials for the establishment of LDAJ, hold an online preparatory committee briefing on December 23, 2025, and after receiving 10 candidates, hold the first LDAJ preparatory committee meeting on January 29, 2026. They are working to complete registration as an NPO by DrupalCamp Tokyo 2026, which will be held on June 27, 2026.
The purpose of this site is to disclose information from the LDAJ Preparatory Committee.
The LDAJ Preparatory Committee is working in collaboration with the Drupal Association, particularly the Drupal International Federation Initiative .
